1. About Us
Bold Repairs provides computer, laptop, and motherboard repair services. We operate from South Woodford and support customers in London and across the UK. We accept devices by drop-off, collection, and postal delivery.
2. Free Diagnostics
We offer free diagnostics for all devices. No payment is required unless you approve the repair.
If you decline the repair after diagnostics, the device will be returned to you in the same condition in which it was received.
3. Repair Approval
We begin repair work only after you approve the quote. Approval can be given by phone, email, message, or written confirmation.
Once approved, the repair request becomes a binding instruction.
4. Repair Timeframes
Repair times vary depending on the fault and parts availability. Most repairs are completed within a few days, but some may take longer.
We aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible while maintaining safe and professional standards.
5. Warranty
Repairs carried out by Bold Repairs include a warranty that covers the specific work completed.
The warranty does not cover:
• New faults unrelated to the original repair
• Damage caused by misuse, impact, liquid, or unauthorised work
• Devices opened or modified after leaving our workshop
Warranty length depends on the type of repair and will be confirmed at completion.
6. Liquid Damage Devices
Liquid-damaged devices can develop new faults even after successful repair. Corrosion can continue to spread over time.
We do our best to stabilise the device, but we cannot guarantee long-term reliability for liquid-damaged equipment.
7. Data and Privacy
We do not access, copy, or share any data stored on your device unless required for diagnostics or repair.
However, we recommend backing up your data before sending the device to us.
Bold Repairs is not responsible for data loss that occurs due to existing device faults, ongoing failures, or repair complications.
All personal information submitted through the website or contact form is used only to respond to your enquiry or complete your repair.
8. Postal Repairs
If you send your device by post:
• You are responsible for packing it securely
• We recommend using a tracked and insured service
• We return the device using an insured courier service
Bold Repairs is not responsible for damage caused by poor packaging or courier mishandling before the device reaches us.
9. Collection and Delivery Service
Our collection service covers a 7-mile radius from South Woodford.
All collected devices are handled with care and returned by the same secure process.
We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers or transport issues.
10. Payments
Payment must be made in full before the device is collected or returned.
We accept payment by card, bank transfer, or other methods offered at the time.
11. Non-Repairable Devices
If we are unable to repair your device, we will return it to you.
Some devices may be partially disassembled for diagnostics. In rare cases, reassembly may not be possible if severe damage is found.
12. Liability
Bold Repairs takes care when handling all devices, but we are not responsible for:
• Pre-existing damage
• Hidden faults discovered during repair
• Future issues on heavily damaged or liquid-exposed devices
• Data loss under any circumstances
Our liability is limited to the repair fee paid.
